Caroline Burkhart

Caroline Burkhart is a New York City based performer, director, choreographer, and teaching artist known for her goofiness and grace. Most recently she’s performed in new works by SMPL MCHN, the after-image, and LOCAL GRANDMA, and has appeared at Target Margin Theater, Barnard Movement Lab, and MoMA PS1. Caroline has presented original work at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club, Movement Research, and The Brick. She regularly teaches theatre and dance at WR Arts and storytelling with The Moth. Jesse B. Koehler

Jesse B Koehler is a New York City based actor, playwright, and ensemble collaborator from Santa Fe, NM. He has a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College, and has trained abroad at The Moscow Art Theatre School, and The British American Drama Academy. NYC performing credits include La MaMa ETC, Dixon Place, New Ohio Theatre, The Collapsable Hole, Immediate Medium, and Theater in Asylum. He was a member of the 2021/22 Mercury Store Acting Company. His original plays have been produced at SoHo Playhouse and the Minnesota Fringe Festival. Some of Jesse’s particular theatrical joys are stories that play within magical realism, and an ensemble driven devising process.

Geneva Turner

Geneva Turner (they/them) is an award-nominated multi-hyphenate theatre and film artist from the Hudson Valley. They hold an A.A from SUNY Ulster in Theatre and two B.A.s from SUNY New Paltz in Theatre Arts and Anthropology. At New Paltz they studied theatre in London and assistant directed “The Trojan Women” and “A View From the Bridge.” This spring they directed “School of Rock” at Onteora Central School, and they previously directed “Twelfth Night,” “A Winter's Tale,” “Two Gentlemen of Verona,” “A Midsummer Night's Dream,” “The Taming of the Shrew,” and “Merchant of Venice” with New Genesis Productions. They are thrilled to be back to direct this reimagining of two plays in one, “What

Tricia Anderson

Tricia Anderson is a long-time alum of New Genesis Productions and has gone onto being part of several theatre companies of her own, including Intramural Theater of New Orleans LA, and Siren Theatre, of High Falls NY. She loves creating original works about history and untold stories, as well as bringing timeless tales back to life. She finds the most fulfillment in designing and crafting productions and collaborating with new artists of all ages. In her spare time she enjoys dancing and juggling.

Benny Rendell

Benny is a filmmaker and actor and has been a part of the New Genesis community for over 13 years, performing on both the summer stage and in the winter masterclasses. Some of his favorite roles were Mercutio, Bottom, Brutus, and Hamlet. He is also a resident artist and actor with the NYC-based theater company, The Firebird Project. As a filmmaker, Benny’s films have been selected for various festivals including the Woodstock, Austin, and Williamsburg Film Festivals, and he is currently studying in Film & TV and Cinema Studies at NYU Tisch. Benny is super excited to direct Romeo & Juliet with this fantastic cast.

Fae Leonard-Mann 

Fae Leonard-Mann has been a part of New Genesis Productions since 2013, where she first met Benny Rendell. Her favorite role at NGP was Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She is so excited to be working at the Little Globe again! She has just graduated from the Professional Performing Arts School in the Theater District of Manhattan and has worked professionally in commercials and film. Next year, she is attending Wesleyan University in Middletown Connecticut, where she hopes to be a part of Shakespeare Productions again!

Azalea Rusillon

Azalea Rusillon is a student at Bard College, majoring in Theater & Performance. She is an actor, costume designer, writer and visual artist who joined NGP when she was 13. There, she was trained in classical theater acting and has played roles such as Gertrude, Lady Macbeth, Nurse and Titania. Azalea is always thrilled to be involved in all aspects of theater making at NGP!  

Shakespeare's Fairies: Teaching Artist

Alice Dorman

Alice Dorman is 16, and has attended New Genesis Productions’ summer programs for eight years. This will be her third year working with Shakespeare’s Fairies, and she is so excited to begin the fun again this summer! She works with kids throughout the year, and enjoys baking, knitting, and reading Shakespeare’s works!

Mia Dorman

Mia Dorman is 16 years old, has been performing in NGP shows for the past eight years, and helping out with the Fairy camp for the past two. She has read over fifteen of Shakespeare’s plays, and really enjoys working with and getting to know his language and his texts.
