LESLEY SAWHILL-AJA, Artistic Director
As a Teaching Artist, Lesley brings her 30 years of experience as an actor and 15 years of teaching and directing experience to designing and applying theatre arts in the schools and the community. Her programs have been received in Delaware, Dutchess, Ulster, and Greene Counties. She has directed in NYC as well as locally for The Open Eye Theater, Byrd-on-a-Cliff, The Shandaken Theater Society, and Performing Arts of Woodstock.
RON AJA, Producing Director
NGP was founded by performing arts producer, Ron Aja, with over 30 years producing theatre, concerts, festivals and events, knows how deliver events which generates revenue and exposure professionally.
A professional producer, Ron Aja, brings extensive expertise in the production of performances and events with years of experience in design, coordination, management, contract negotiation and technical production. With knowledge of administrative and fiscal organization, New Genesis Productions also provide services in marketing and P/R, site logistics and safety.
Ron worked in professional and academic theatre after receiving an under graduate degree in theatre design at Humboldt State University in California. After earning his graduate degree an MFA degree in Performing Arts Management from the City University of New York at Brooklyn College he managed and produced Off-Off Broadway theatre and in the downtown alternative theatre scene and held a position as a union representative for Actor’s Equity Association.
Since moving to the Catskill Mountains in up-state New York with his creative partner and wife, actress/director, Lesley Ann Sawhill, they have produced theatre, festivals, events and built a community for themselves and their son Brandon Cobalt.
